Mohsen hit him with a truncheon on the knee, arms, face and back. His cousin took a machete from the car and hit him on the back. Adel lost consciousness. He was hospitalized and given a 90-day medical rest (CMI).
He lodged a complaint two days later. The following month, the public prosecutor remanded five police officers in custody and referred them to the correctional chamber for violence against Adel.
The first hearing of the trial took place on November 3, 2022, at the end of which the defendants were released. Adel obtained a forensic examination which concluded that he was 5% disabled due to a fractured vertebrae caused by the assault. The trial is still in progress.
